It is no secret that patient gowns are uncomfortable, exposing, confusing and demoralizing. As an RN and founder of Untethered, I decided it was time for a change. The goal was to design a patient gown that was soft, uplifting and promoted each individual’s sense of dignity and autonomy. In alignment with these values, a deliberate decision was made to only use materials and fabrics that are eco-friendly and milled in the United States. In an effort to rebuild the U.S. apparel manufacturing industry, all gowns are produced domestically using only the softest and highest-quality fabric.
